Students compete in first annual Brain Quest
By Abdullahi Kabiru – 7LN
On Thursday 11 April CES had its first round of Brain Quest.
Held in Mr Mitchell’s room it was Tutankhamun and Cleopatra going on at it in the opening round of the two-week competition.
There were two separate teams of ten, and in each round only five people were allowed to play and the other five would go to the substitution bench. After each round both teams had ten seconds to make a substitution but if you were substituted then you couldn’t go back into the game.
The equipment was very bad at the quiz. Instead of buzzers Tutankhamun used triangles and Cleopatra used wood and a stick, now ask yourself WHY do you think that they used such poor materials? The answer is because Mr Mitchell asked for them but nobody made them so don’t blame Mr Mitchell.

Hundreds of students, teachers, parents and friends turned out at the CES carnival at the end of the last term making it a hugely successful event for the school.
Many students managed to cover themselves in paint at the carnival.
There were also tones of games like the colour festival, the big bouncy castle and etc.
Most people found the colour festival very fun lots of people said that it was the best game.
The Bazar was also quiet successful with vendors selling jewelry, food, sweets and many other things.
There was a very fun ending to the carvival all students from years seven to nine got on stage and decided to do the Harlem Shake which was a nice, fun and funny way to end our carnival.
The event was organized by the PTSA.
