Real Madrid Foundation Academy Tournament
By Halla Waleed – 6MJ

The tournament ended with the New Cairo branch winning four cups and the Gizeera team two.
There was a competition for both girls and boys.

The girls’ tournament was more or less one match between New Cairo and the Gizeera team. The new Giza team with ten girls was not allowed to compete in the cup as they were disqualified because of their age. This article is from the New Cairo team’s point of view.

With four balls in the ballot representing the four teams still in the hunt for the title – Chelsea FC, Fenerbahse SK, SL Benfica and Basel FC – van Nistelrooy started picking balls and opening them.
