My reasons why CES is a must-come school

CES is an amazing school. The school community is filled with happy and helpful teachers and students. If you are in CES and are a good student then you must be loving it and if you aren’t in CES then you don’t know what you are missing.

Here are my reasons why CES is must-come:

  • In CES you learn new things in every single lesson.
  • In CES you get the opportunity to be both smart and social.

Prejudice – a scourge on our society

Prejudice is everywhere.  It’s in schools, in the office even in the mall. It’s discrimination. People everywhere around the world judge others, especially for what race they are, what religion they believe in and what gender they are. It is all around us and not enough is down to address it.

Sarah El-Ezaby (6AM) of the CES Post looks at the issue and why it is a harmful practice.

Prejudice:

  1. An opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience Disc
  • Dislike, hostility, or unjust behavior formed on such a basis
  1. Chiefly Law harm or injury that results or may result from some action or judgment

The Cycle of Prejudice

Prejudices are the opinions we form about other people, which help to explain our stresses, or fears and which are based on incorrect facts. Prejudice is linked with power. Certain individuals or groups who feel their power is under threat try to protect themselves by treating minority groups as inferior and unequal (as if they themselves are superior, when the truth is no race, gender, religion is superior to another).
